CASUAL Day (Colon cancer Saves Unlimited Adult Lives)
CASUAL Day is an educational awareness campaign held each March to raise awareness about the increased burden of colon cancer in Northeastern Pennsylvania, the importance of screening, and early
detection. CASUAL Day is designated as the last Thursday of March. On this day, participants dress casual while wearing a specially designed custom t-shirt.

Cancer Survivors Day

All cancer survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, family and friends or any individual affected by a cancer diagnosis in northeast Pennsylvania are invited to attend Annual Cancer Survivors Day. This event includes the “Circle of Survivors,” an activity where those in attendance will be able to share a thought or inspirational message about their cancer experience. Additionally, there are survivor and caregiver ribbons & pins, programs, and light refreshments.

Spirit of Hope Celebration

The Spirit of Hope Celebration is hosted by the Board of Ambassadors, a group of individuals and business leaders in Northeastern Pennsylvania who have come together to raise funds & awareness to fight cancer in the local community through their support and promotion of a gala event. Funds raised support the Cancer Institute's Community Based Cancer Screening Navigation Program, which helps low income individuals in northeastern Pennsylvania access direct cancer related health-care services.
