About the Cancer Institute

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute is a local, non-profit organization working to ease the burden of cancer in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The three main program areas that we focus on are: community and patient services, hospital and practice support services, and cancer surveillance.

The Cancer Institute is unique in that it is an independent, exclusively local entity. This means that we have the flexibility to respond directly to the evolving needs of the community we serve. The Cancer Institute invests all of its resources in this region.

Our primary service area includes Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming Counties. We offer additional services in Bradford, Carbon, Lehigh, Lycoming, Northampton, Sullivan, and Tioga.

The Cancer Institute is your local resource for cancer education services, regional statistics, and information on cancer.
