Cancer Screenings Available for Uninsured/Underinsured

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute currently has openings in its Patient Navigation Program for uninsured and underinsured individuals who are not up to date with the recommended colon, breast, and cervical cancer screenings.

Screening openings are for individuals that are at or above the recommended age to begin routine screening for breast, cervical or colon cancer and have no symptoms. The target population is: men & women age 50 and older for colon cancer screening; women age 21 and older for cervical cancer screening; and women age 40 and older for breast cancer screening.

Trained staff will work one-on-one with individuals to guide them through the screening process, and help with resources like transportation or childcare that may prevent individuals from being screened.
