12th Annual C.A.S.U.A.L. Day Co-Chairs Named 

Theodore Uroskie, MD and Q. Thomas Novinger, MD, MBA were recently named co-chairs for the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute’s 12th Annual C.A.S.U.A.L. (Colon cancer Awareness Saves Unlimited Adult Lives) Day.

Theodore Uroskie, MD, of Clarks Green, is a retired obstetrician/gynecologist. He has volunteered for the local Disaster Action of the Red Cross, Disaster Health Service of the Red Cross, and the National Disaster Services Human Resources System of the Red Cross. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and Hahnemann Medical College (Now Drexel University College of Medicine).

Q. Thomas Novinger, MD, MBA, of Mountain Top, is the senior medical director for Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania. He was previously the medical director at the Geisinger Health Plan in Danville, Pennsylvania with responsibility for Health Care Services, Eastern Region and Medical Informatics. He graduated from Bucknell University and Jefferson Medical College. He is presently board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and recently completed an MBA at the University of Massachusetts.

C.A.S.U.A.L. Day, set for Thursday, March 26, 2015, is a dress down day to raise awareness for colorectal cancer in northeast Pennsylvania. On this day, participants dress “casual” while wearing a specially designed pin and/or t-shirt. All proceeds from the event stay in NEPA and go towards the Cancer Institute’s efforts to raise awareness and support colorectal cancer screenings for low income, un/underinsured individuals through their Patient Navigation Program.
