Proceeds From One Act Play To Benefit Cancer Institute

The Cooperage Project (Main Street in Honesdale, PA) will host I Got Sick Then I Got Better, a one-act play written and performed by an ovarian cancer survivor, on September 14th at 7:30 pm.  A portion of the proceeds from the performance will benefit the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute.

The play is the work of Jenny Allen, an award-winning essayist, Broadway and New York Theater performer and writer of poignant comedy.  Ms. Allen was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2005.   I Got Sick Then I Got Better, tells the story of her diagnosis and treatment in a manner that combines humor with emotion.

The suggested donation to attend is $30 and reservations are recommended.  To reserve your tickets, contact The Cooperage at 570.253.2020.
