Poster/Candy Sales Raise Money for Cancer Institute
Sales of posters and candy featuring a painting of The Scranton Times-Tribune holiday tower lighting has raised more than $1,600 for the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. The painting was created by former Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce president and local artist, Austin Burke.
In addition to the print, Mr. Burke’s painting was featured on the annual special-edition Gertrude Hawk box of assorted chocolates traditionally sold throughout the holiday season. The money raised will go to the Judi H. Rock-On Memorial Fund which benefits the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute. The next Judi H. Rock-On event is scheduled for May 2014.
