Local Woman Winner of “The Pink Lady” Guitar Raffle

Kathy Burns, of Throop, was the winner of a raffle for a customized pink guitar nicknamed “The Pink Lady.” The guitar was raffled off as part of the Judi H Rock On Fundraiser, which was held by a group of friends and family of a woman from Dunmore who lost her battle with cancer. All proceeds from the event and raffle benefited the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute in memory of Judi H. Perry Hartridge, who succumbed to cancer in 2007. Plans for a second annual dance party and guitar raffle are currently in the works to take place on February 4, 2012, at the Scranton Cultural Center. The night will feature music by two legendary local bands: Paul LaBelle and the Exact Change and Jack Bordo with Old Friends.
