Local Cancer Survivor’s Artwork Featured on Holiday Card

Christine Stickle Esposito from Mountainhome recently partnered with the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute to create a design for the organization’s 2013 Holiday Card.

Each year, the Cancer Institute invites a local cancer survivor to submit artwork for the cover of a holiday card sent to over 500 individuals and organizations.

This year’s card features a wreath.  The ribbons on the wreath each represent a different form of cancer.  The doves symbolize peace and goodwill; the red cardinal represents the beauty and warmth of the holiday season.

Diagnosed with fallopian tube cancer in 2012, Esposito is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments.  “I believe there is a reason for everything that I have gone, and am going through.  Through all of this, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people.”

Esposito says photography is her passion and she has been doing it for about eight years.

She currently resides in Mountainhome with her husband, George, and three children, Kayla, Luke and Sean.
