Ethical Health Care Decision-Making Seminar

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute is glad to be working in conjunction with VNA Hospice & Home Health of Lackawanna County, Community Medical Center, Northeast PA Hospice, Moses Taylor Hospital, Marywood University, and PSNA District #4 to host the 8th Annual Resources for Ethical Health Care Decision-Making Seminar on October 18, 2011, from 8 a.m. – 3:30 pm.

This year’s program, which will be held at Marywood University’s LaTour Conference Center, is entitled, “Suffering: Beyond Physical Pain – The Ethical Considerations.” The seminar is open to the public and will provide information on what questions to ask and the services available to the professional community, patients, and families in situations where end of life healthcare decisions must be made.

Continuing education credits will be available for participating counselors, nurses, and social workers. The general registration fee is $35 ($60 for social work & counseling CEUs) and includes lunch.
