Dave Donovan shares his story as part of our 2020 Cancer Survivors Day.
On May 26, 2020 I went to the hospital due to a dizziness and found that I have a brain tumor. I was flown to the hospital in Wilkes-Barre for surgery. I found out it was non cancerous. In June, I was sent to get a pet scan. They found that I have peritoneal mesothelioma. I had a 11 hour surgery on July 21, 2020. I am going through radiation now and when done, I have chemotherapy treatment.
Throughout the month of September, we will share stories. This is the opportunity to be a part and give or receive inspiration from our fellow community members. Distance between us shouldn’t put an end to support and togetherness.
