Cancer Institute Welcomes Graves, Steigmeyer to Board of Directors
Mary Erwine, RN, MSN, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute, announces the recent appointment of Thomas Graves and Robert P. Steigmeyer to the Board of Directors.
Thomas Graves is the Vice President of Cancer Services at Geisinger Health System. He joins the Cancer Institute Board with over twenty-five years of experience in hospital and clinic operations.
Prior to accepting his current position at Geisinger, Mr. Graves served as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Clinical Services at the Cancer Therapy and Research Center in San Antonio, Texas. In the past, he has also held the position of Assistant Vice President for Memorial Hermann Cancer Services and Director of Cancer/Radiation Services at Methodist Hospital, both in Houston, Texas. His list of credentials includes distinguished service as a urology practice administrator at Baylor College of Medicine and service in clinic operations at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Robert P. Steigmeyer is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Medical Center Healthcare System. He received a bachelor’s degree from Wabash College, a Master of Business Administration degree from St. Louis University School of Business, and a Master of Health Administration degree from St. Louis University Center for Health Services Education and Research.
Mr. Steigmeyer has worked in the area of healthcare management at organizations throughout the country. He began his profession as a healthcare management consultant at Ernst & Young in St. Louis, Missouri. Later, Mr. Steigmeyer served at ECG Management Consultants and Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, both in Seattle, Washington before accepting his current role
in July of 2010.
