Cancer Institute Thanks Holiday Card Artist

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute recently presented Laura Slocum, of Shavertown, with a recognition plaque thanking her for her contribution of artwork for the cover of the Cancer Institute 2011 holiday card.

Slocum, an ovarian cancer survivor, created a festive watercolor featuring classic holiday candy. Pictured above is Laura receiving the recognition plaque from Cancer Institute President, Bob Durkin.
