Cancer Institute Announces New Officers and  Member to the Board of Directors

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute’s Board of Directors elected new officers. Susan Shoemaker was elected as Chair of the Board of Directors, William Conaboy, Esq., Vice-Chair, Fr. Herbert Keller, Secretary and Jackie Brozena, Treasurer.  In addition to the new officers, the Board of Directors appointed Glen Digwood, D.O., FACP to the Board of Directors.

Glen Digwood, D.O., FACP is the co-director of Palliative Medicine at Geisinger Health System. He is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. He was formerly the Director of the Hospital Medicine at Regional Hospital of Scranton. Raised in Taylor, PA, Dr. Digwood is committed to improving healthcare delivery in our region. He is an Ursinus College graduate, received his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Scranton-Temple Residency Program, and a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY. Dr. Digwood is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine with certifications in Internal Medicine, as well as Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Digwood sees patients at The Frank M. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center at Geisinger Community Medical Center Cancer Center.
