Blue Hair Streaks & Feathers to Promote Colon Cancer Awareness

         

WHAT:             Blue Hair Streaks & Feathers to Benefit the 9th Annual C.A.S.U.A.L. Day(Colon cancer Awareness Saves Unlimited Adult Lives)
 
WHEN:             Thursdays & Fridays during March
                           12:30 – 2:30pm
 

WHERE:          Career Technology Center – 3201 Rockwell Avenue, Scranton, PA 18508

 
Cosmetology students at the Career Technology Center in Scranton will offer blue hairstreaks and feathers to the public during the month of March, Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Each hairstreak or feather is $5 and proceeds will benefit the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute C.A.S.U.A.L. Day.
C.A.S.U.A.L. Day is a dress down day in memory of Helen Phillips to raise awareness about colorectal cancer.  Businesses, individuals, and other organizations will dress down on Thursday, March 29th in special C.A.S.U.A.L. Day t-shirts and pins. All proceeds from the event support the ongoing efforts by the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute to raise awareness about colorectal cancer risk factors and the importance of screening.
