Viral infections are responsible for the development of several cancers, and preventive vaccines play an important role in reducing risk. Vaccines against human papillomavirus (HPV) and hepatitis B virus (HBV) are proven, underutilized tools that significantly reduce the risk of developing related cancers by protecting against these cancer-causing viral infections.  HPV vaccines reduce the risk of cervical, head/neck and other cancers, while HBV vaccines prevent liver cancer, making timely immunization essential for cancer prevention.
