Cancer Institute Names Patient Navigator Staff Assistant

Joanne Getz, of Scranton, has joined the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute as a patient navigator staff assistant.  She is responsible for supporting the Community –Based Patient Navigation Program at the Cancer Institute, as well as other community and patient services programs.

Getz received a bachelor’s degree in retail management from Marywood University and an associate’s degree in medical technology from McCann School of Business. Prior to accepting her position at the Cancer Institute, Getz served as an administrative assistant in the medical field.
