“Buzz Off Cancer” Supports Northeast Regional Cancer Institute

Mick’s Barber Shop, Honesdale, recently hosted “Buzz Off Cancer 2013”, a special fundraiser that raised over $6,600. The money was shared with the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.  “Buzz Off Cancer 2013” promoted cancer awareness and encouraged individuals to collect pledges from friends and family in return for having their hair or beard buzzed off.  Mick’s Barber Shop’s staff volunteered their time at the biennial event, and other funds were raised through the sale of t-shirts, wristbands, and raffle tickets.
