John Paris Bio

John Paris, a South Scranton native, graduated from Scranton Preparatory School and the University of Scranton in the sixties. Since his early days as a performer with his group The Innkeepers, he was spotlighted at local hot spots such as the Holiday Inn, The Mayfair Supper Club, Joe Darlak’s Supper Club at the Sheraton Inn, The Treadway, and various Pocono resorts in the seventies.

As he advanced with his next touring show band, Atlantis, John performed coast to coast throughout the USA and Canada. Atlantis was rated by critics as one of the top traveling lounge acts in North America. While performing and headlining in Atlantis, John appeared in all the
major casino resorts on the Las Vegas strip, including the Sahara, where he played opposite a fellow local legend, Pete Barbuti. John and Atlantis’ lead singer even appeared on the Merv Griffin Show.

After Atlantis, John performed as a featured guest with celebrities including Eddie Arnold, The Mills Brothers, Hal Linden, Bobby Vinton, Bob Newhart, and the Moody Blues to name just a few.

In recent years, John has released 13 highly praised albums of original piano music in the Jazz/New Age genre. Three of these albums won Best Solo Piano Jazz Performance from an international piano organization, Enlightened Piano Radio (EPR). While performing with EPR,
John has appeared on the illustrious stages of both Carnegie Hall and The Grand Ole Opry. John’s music is currently available on all musical streaming platforms, and he has 300,000 followers on www.numberonemusic.com.

Presently, John has scintillated crowds at concerts in California, Oregon, Nevada, and Minnesota, including a personal piano concert of Maestro Vladimir Horowitz. He even was honored by signing his name on the bottom next to the names of several piano luminaries.

John will be releasing his 14th album “Acceptance” this September.
