Scranton Business and Professional Women to Host Ovarian Cancer Education ProgramThe Scranton Business and Professional Women’s group will recognize Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a related cancer education program at their monthly dinner on September 28, 2011.

The dinner will take place at 6 p.m. at the Radisson’s Station Ballroom. The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute will present a short educational program entitled, “Listen to the Whispers: Ovarian Cancer Facts.” Information packets and a question and answer session will also be included for participants.
The dinner is open to the public and reservations can be made by calling Joann Hallesky at 570-969-9800. The cost is $20 per person.
The Scranton Business and Professional Women began 88 years ago and is still going strong. The group holds monthly informative and fundraising meetings and regularly donates to local charities, as well as providing scholarships for local students. Learning, fun, work, and giving are the top priorities of the group, and new members are always welcome.
