Friends and family of a woman from Dunmore who lost her battle with cancer are planning their fifth annual fundraiser, Judi H Rock On 5, to support the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute in her memory.  Judi Hartridge was a vibrant and giving nurse, who passed away after a year-long battle with cancer in December 2007. To honor her memory, family and friends formed a committee- Judi H Rock On, to raise funds to fight the disease that claimed her life.

On September 27, 2015, the committee will host, Judi H Rock On 5, a dance party and raffle at St. Mary’s Center in Scranton from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The event will feature live music from three legendary bands on one stage – Paul LaBelle and the Exact Change, Old Friends, The Gene Dempsey Orchestra, along with singer/songwriters Janice Gambo Chesna and Tony Vergnetti.

Jim “Bucky” Buckley will be honored at the event as the recipient of the third Music Lifetime Achievement Award. The ticket price of $25 will not only include a night of fantastic music and refreshments, but also entry into a raffle for a Mount Airy one night stay with tickets to see “The Stylistics” concert and a gift card for dinner, an Apple iPad, and a one-year Greater Scranton YMCA family gym membership. A cash bar will also be available.

Tickets can be purchased prior to the event by visiting www.judihrockon.com or calling the Cancer Institute at 1-800-424-6724. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the day of the event.
